Playing the game

These Terms govern your use of Arclight: Gatefall. Gameplay is available without buying items or creating a purchase account. The first Android closed test runs with purchases switched off. Once purchases are switched on, optional purchases go through Google Play Billing and Apple In-App Purchase. There is no website checkout at launch; we will update these Terms before adding one.

Gameplay and local saves are available to everyone. The Privacy Policy explains the age screen and the restrictions on analytics, email features and purchase restoration. Passing the age screen does not mean you are an adult or allowed to buy: obtain any parent or guardian authorization required by law and by your store. Opening a Focus chest with purchased gems requires confirming that you are 18 or over.

Permission to use the game

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play the game in accordance with these Terms. Intellectual property belongs to its respective rights holders. This licence does not restrict uses or exceptions protected by law.

Purchases and virtual items

Our Purchases and Refunds page explains products, payment channels, restoration and refunds. The applicable checkout terms also govern your transaction.

Gems and virtual items are for use within the game. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged back for money, sold or transferred to another person. This restriction does not limit refunds or other remedies required by law.

Saves and restoration

Gameplay progress is stored on your device. Clearing the app's data, uninstalling or losing a device may remove local progress. Keep a backup: copy a transfer code in the game and keep it somewhere safe.

Purchase restoration concerns verified remaining purchased benefits. It does not recreate all gameplay progress or reissue currency already spent. Paid spending requires an internet connection. Save imports must not duplicate paid items or currency.

Fair use and restrictions

Do not commit payment fraud, forge purchases, attack the service, use another person’s information without permission or unlawfully interfere with other players.

We may proportionately restrict affected services for serious breaches or security threats. Where feasible, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve or challenge the restriction. Urgent protective action may come first. Contact us to request review.

A lawful refund request or exercise of privacy rights is not grounds for punishment.

Updates and availability

We may update the game for security, technical fixes, balance and improvements. Maintenance or security work may interrupt online features.

Material changes affecting purchased benefits, or closure of the service, will receive appropriate notice and the remedies required by law. Changes will not retrospectively remove accrued consumer rights.

We will identify material changes to these Terms and provide appropriate notice.

Your legal protections

Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

California law governs these Terms. This choice does not remove mandatory consumer protections or access to courts available under the law where you live.
